That is very sad but I understand that Hawaii is both too hot for eagles and also too far from the natural habitat of the wild eagle. I'm sure when you come to the mainland you can see a few, especially around here :-)Joyfulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956413632864588646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940863090367389327.post-86824148009000613372010-04-17T23:11:52.910-07:002010-04-17T23:11:52.910-07:00Hi Laura, the eagles don't really adapt to lif...Hi Laura, the eagles don't really adapt to life in the city...as they live in the country but it is true that with human encroachment their territories get smaller as does the territories of all wild animals and fowl. Every year near Vancouver there is an event where a group counts the wild eagles. There are hundreds and it is shown on the news each year...It is rather spectacular to see. A few years ago there were over 1000 eagles and they generally stay in the area from mid-November to mid-February. I am not sure how many eagles were counted this year but I hope it was a lot!Joyfulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956413632864588646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940863090367389327.post-6196398655377624222010-04-17T23:08:12.001-07:002010-04-17T23:08:12.001-07:00Hi Lynda, the eagle is not really a city eagle.
