I'm linking up with Tina at Weekend Flowers,
and Denise and the gang at Today's Flowers.
I took this photo on the beach in White Rock. I love that you can see the ocean beyond the dandelions.
The English name, dandelion, is a corruption of the French dent de lion which means "lion's tooth", referring to the coarsely toothed leaves. (Wikipedia) I think the dandelion is really a weed, not a flower but even weeds can look pretty. Dandelion greens are edible and are often sold in herbal stores as tea.
Have you tasted dandelion tea? Did you like it? Dandelion has many different health benefits. You can read all about them here.
Lovely with the yellow against the grey stones and the sea.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful shot, the contrast of the colors is gorgeous. Well done! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAlthough the picture looks very nice, I don't like these lion teeth ! They grow everywhere especially in my grass !
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful shots. The beauty of the flower is even more evident with the grey background. This photos can be depicted in so many ways. I'd like to view it as happiness amidst trying moments. Happy weekend, Ms Rita! :)

Hello Joyful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower viewing.
We can also find flowers still out there ..... but autumn has announced its arrival.
The other morning we had only + 4.6 degrees.
Wish you a good Sunday :)

Dear Penny,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for my infrequent visits, life has had a few too many challenges of late.
Anyway, this is just a quick note to thank you for your lovely prayer for my husband's health concerns and for our son Jaiden and me. I was honestly reduced to tears with such an outpouring of love. Your visit meant so much to the three of us. Blog friends are indeed one of life's greatest treasures.
The photo in this post, of the dandelions at the beach is a lovely sight. It reminds me of some dandelions Jaiden recently picked for me on his way home from school. Such a gift is so heart warming.
Wishing you peace, love and happiness. God bless. Smuggles, Kerrie
