A Fly By - March 12, 2016

Earlier this week I spotted this flock of birds. I was on my patio taking shots of the sky when the birds came flying by.  My small canon digital camera doesn't shoot fast enough but I  was lucky enough to get one photo. I can't quite tell the type of birds in flight.  Pigeons perhaps? Maybe crows but some of them look at little too light in colour. Perhaps it is the light falling on them that makes the feathers look lighter than black.

Anyway they passed about 3 times and it was wonderful to see how they swoop in flight.

Quick and successful capture, Penny. I struggle with birds in flight.

Hello, I am not positive but they look like pigeons. Great capture of the flock. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Digital cameras can be frustratingly slow. I press the button and then have to wait while my subject moves on! I need to see if sports mode works faster.

I love to watch birds flying, and especially when they fly in a V shape form. So organized. Also I love taking photos of them sitting on the wires at the end of the afternoon. Great photos, also I loved the sunset photos from your previous post! Have a wonderful week Penny!

They might be Starlings. They also flock and fly in formation like that. There are a lot of them here in Arizona singing in the trees. Thanks for stopping by to comment on my ATV post. - Margy
