Skywatch

This is my input to Skywatch Friday, Friday Foto Friends and Nature Notes this week.
These photos were taken on June 26th with my phone camera.
I was out running errands when I came across this sight in the sky.  I was intrigued with the formation of clouds.
At first I thought it was chem-trails but later thought it it might be different clouds like I had never seen before. At least I've never seen them forming into a V shape before.
I'm really not sure what these were in the sky.

In the photo below the domed building is of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.  On Friday night's the church hosts a traditional meal of perogies and sausages or you can purchase a bag of perogies from the church and boil and fry them up yourself. I haven't been to a dinner there for many years already. How times flies!

Since I was out late running errands I stopped to have a light meal. I decided on a Seafood Udon Noodle soup (with fish, calamari, fish balls, noodles and vegetables) and a BC Cone  stuffed with rice, vegetables and Pacific Wild Salmon.

It was all yummy!

I hope you've been enjoying your week.
It's been a catch up week for me.
I've been very busy and this month I am trying to streamline my activities.
I have a few events I have to attend but also need to catch up on some business stuff so I'm not sure how often I'll be blogging over the summer.
I hope to at least visit you now and then.

We never know what we are seeing in the sky anymore with so much stuff being added to it all the time.
The church looks very large. Its nice that they sell Perogies. I love them fried!
Hope your summer is going well despite being so busy.

Hmm, I love mysteries and I am wondering if your strange clouds are contrails from a jet. Who knows.

Those clouds are rather cool looking. I wonder what caused them to do that. Hope you have a great weekend.

Many don't know how to sit and watch the sky. Interesting questions on this photo.

Nice capture of the sky. Other than the white trails, the sky are clear blue. The seafood Udon noodle soup looks inviting. Happy weekend!

Fascinating skies -- every time I see some different cloud formation i tell myself I'll read more about what cloud shapes mean. But I never seem to get around to it actually. I just prefer to think of them as magical formations up in the sky (kind of the same as I did when I was 5 .... maybe over 70 years later it's about time to grow up ... maybe). The food looks wonderful... we found a restaurant here in Eugene that served cones like that ... I'd never seen them before; I had one of those and a bowl of soup too, just as you did!

Dearest Penny, I love your sky photos with wires neatly criss-crossing them! I replied to you in depth and at length on messenger, telling you how impressed I am at the way you streamline your activities. Then for the first time in weeks, my Internet bombed out here at work and I lost the message. I loved the sound of a BC cone stuffed with rice and vegetables. If I ordered there with you, I'm sure that the eatery would have a vegetarian option. Bless you, dear Penny.

Welcome to Nature Notes...Very happy to visit your blog and learn about the charity that is most close to your heart. If we all did something for another needy child, then it would be a more wonderful world. My brother has adopted two special needs children that they were fostering. We need to help children..not like what is going on in the US at present. Terrible. Horrific. Heartbreaking... But I digress, I am a sky watcher every single day.. Michelle

Dear Jo, I'm so sorry you lost your message. I love hearing from you so hopefully you get a chance to rewrite your post. You are right that the restaurant would offer you a vegetarian option. In fact, many restaurants here are quite used to vegetarians and there are yet other restaurants that are strictly vegan though I've not tried them yet. Usually they are quite popular.

I appreciate your kind words and am so blessed to hear that your brother is caring for special needs children. It takes a special person to care for those with special needs imho. I hope to join again with your NN one day Michelle. Until then take care and watch the skies :-)

Very interesting formation of clouds, and wires make another interesting geometric patterns with the clouds. After that rain disaster, summer has come with its full force. Today, it was 35 degrees C highest. I’m not in the mood for warm udon but your seafood udon looks delicious.

Thank you for your kind words on my post as always. Wish you a lovely summer. See you in September.

A very interesting sky observation, Penny! Thank you for sharing. And your meal looked really good...especially the soup.

Thank you for your faithfulness to have left comments at my blog when I've been so helter-skelter with it this summer. I thought once the party was over that I could sit back and take it easy for a while. HA! Now that retirement is "official" it seems that I am busier than ever. We are still in the adjustment period so I am hoping that eventually we will settle into a routine of sorts. One of my goals for this week is to post every day. Have a good summer!

I didn't realize that Skywatch Friday was still active, I use to participate there once and a while!

Your header is just gorgeous. I'm in Canada, was trying to figure out where that scene might be.

Happy Summer and glad I clicked through to visit. :-)
