Drama in Early June ~ Skywatch Friday

It's that time of the week again where we share what we've been observing in the skies. The clouds were so dramatic last Sunday that I simply had to share them with you. It rained so heavily on and off that day too.  I live in the rainforest region of the country but it seldom rains as heavily as it did that day.

Thank you for stopping by my Skywatch Friday post.

Very moody looking. I lived in a rain forest area when I was a child and the rain certainly bucketed down.

It really did bucket down this past week. I don't think I've seen rain that heavy even in our winter months.

Thanks so much!

Anecdotally we seem to be getting less of it over the years in Greater Vancouver. We need the rain and it truly does provide sustenance for the soul.

Such lovely clouds! I love to watch clouds, especially when they bring us rain! We are having some rain right now! Praise God! I had no idea you lived in "the rain forest area" of your country. I had no idea there was a rain forest there! So I learned something new today! Hope you have a pleasant and beautiful weekend.

@Penelope Notes In general it does seem like we're getting less rain but I think this year we had a lot.

Rain and clouds are very interesting and very necessary. Thanks for your well wishes. It seems like we are now into hot weather here. I hope you have a wonderful and cooler time in Islamabad on your holiday.

Those clouds really put on a show, didn't they? The contrast between the dark skies, the bursts of light makes these photos so striking. It's interesting that even in a rainforest region, this storm stood out from the usual weather. Did the skies clear up later in the day, or did the rain stick around for a while?

Hi Melody, we had another day of rain after these photos were taken but it has warmed up considerably since then. In fact, it's very hot right now.
