'Twas a Busy Sky Day

On this particular day the skies were busy with planes and birds. Within a few seconds of taking my first photo, I spotted two planes in the air. I was also able to capture some seagulls perched on a building and others in flight. All in all, it was a great day for sky watching!

Can you spot the small plane in the sky?

I wonder where this commercial jet is going? I'd like to be going too.

    1. Yes the roof is lovely. It gets "greenish" from all the rain.

  4. Took me a minute to find the float-plane, Penny, but the jet shares its piece of sky with no one.
And I never tire of seagulls. Or blue skies at the coast!

  7. I can't find the float plane - but do see what I believe is a twin-engined prop-jet ... I believe a Fokker-50. Gotta love that clear, royal blue sky overhead.

    1. LOL, Fred. I don't know whether it is a float plane or a prop-jet. You sure do sound like you know your planes. The blue sky was wonderful after all the grey skies we've been having. I'm afraid it will be back to grey skies tomorrow but at least the temperatures will be warmer.

  8. This is such a fun idea for a photoshoot :) I also love flying so looking at planes makes me want to travel!

In response to your comments on my blog, I studied abroad in Chile two summers ago and had the chance to go back and visit for New Years! I began thinking about veganism back in October and was fully convinced by November when I watched a documentary called Forks Over Knives. I recommend it to everyone! Since then I have been adjusting my eating habits so that now I am completely vegan and loving it :)

  10. Great pictures, we do not see a lot of planes around us other than private or air-force. The latter by the time you hear them they are out of sight!! Have a great weekend Diane

    1. We see a lot of planes around her but I am not generally on the flight path for the big planes. We see a lot of float planes that head to downtown to land at the inlet.
