Counting Zebras

I've been posting a lot of wild birds critters this past few weeks. The wildlife photos were all taken in Kenya, East Africa.

Aren't these zebras real beauties?

I managed to see all the ones in these photos at Lake Nakuru National Park located on the southern end of the City of Nakuru. On my day there it looked like many locals were enjoying the park.

How wonderful that this park is virtually located in city limits and yet there is a wonderful array of wildlife.

Check in with Eileen at Saturday's Critters for more awesome critters.

  3. Saturday Greetings to you Joyful! Zebras are such a fascinating animal. If we take away the strips and color them brown they could be any ordinary horse. It makes me wonder how the evolutionists would describe the differences. I continue to enjoy the pictures you took in Africa, and yes, they just make me want to go see it for myself. My grandmother told me at a very young age, "You are very curious and that is good." As I get older I often find myself saying she was right ... at least it makes life more interesting. I would sure like to get to Africa and see all the unusual types of animals. Speaking of curiosity, I wonder, if you put all the time together that you spent in Africa, how long would it be? Wishing you a fine weekend and may I return wishes for a Happy Spring! John

  5. Zebras are amazing. I'm just looking at their patterns and I am fascinated with how they were created the way they are. I wonder what other reasobs are there behind their standout beauty. They are a camouflage to birch trees.

  16. Zebras are so beautiful! I have a large lithograph of zebras in Africa on the wall in my bedroom, so I see them every day. But to see them free in a large park is certainly way better. I have seen them also in large parks, one in Georgia and one in West Palm Beach and took many photos. Your photos are excellent.
