This is my world this past week or so. I caught a photo of the sky when it wasn't raining. The rest of the week is supposed to be sunny. I'm hoping the forecast doesn't change.
To me that is a very unusual cloud formation.... is it of any particular significance? Lovely way you've captured it, with the contrast of the trees and clouds. Blessings - Jan
Nice shot of the sky with a hope for sunshine. Hope your dreams of Kenya come true real soon. There is a lady from my church that spends a great deal of her time in Kenya as a den mother at 'Into Abba's Arms' orphange. Sever youth have made mission trips there for a life changing experience. I too, dream of going and spreading love and hope. Thanks for the visit and have a happy week ;-)
Great photo and looks just like our skies here in Seattle for the better part of ten days! Supposed to be sunny here, too! Hope they're right! I'm tired of gray! Have a great week!
I must admit that, living in an arid land, I enjoy a few days of overcast weather ... only a few days though, too much cloudiness depresses me after awhile ...
A great shot... I love the way you captured the blue sky, cloud formation and the green trees..I love different shots of cloud formations..thanks for sharing with us. Hugs, Baba
Hi Jan, the clouds are not really that unusual here. We often get a lot of low lying cloud though this is the first time I've seen "fluffy" ones that cover a large range and clearer skies above.
Sylvia K, how nice to hear from you. Since you live just south of me, I'm sure we are sharing in the same weather pattern. I've found it coldish of late. Unfortunately we got even more rain today though at least the sun came out for a bit too.
One Stoned Crow, you wouldn't know it with all my comments about wanting sunshine but I actually love rain. I just get tired of it as we got a lot of it all winter and now all Spring. Hopefully that will change soon as it does get depressing for sure when you have little sunshine. It is always nice when you get a balance of wet and dry though these days that is seemingly harder to get where even in parts of Africa they are getting more rain than usual.

This is a lovely gospel song sung in Swahili and has special meaning for me. It is special because on my first trip to Kenya a group of orphans encircled me and sang this lovely song. It really touched me. No one translated the song for me at that time. Though I could not speak Swahili I knew it was a worship song unto God. I tried to track the song down for a long time. Every time I would ask a Kenyan friend, no one would know which song I was trying to recollect. I only knew the words "Ni wewe bwana" and decided to search on YouTube when I couldn't get any of my friends to help me find the song. Guess what, I found it! (Update: It has already been some years since I found it and had a Tanzanian friend translate it for me.) The version I'm sharing is the same song but this one on the video is sung to a slightly faster beat. It is sung by well known (now deceased) Tanzanian Gospel singer, Fanuel Sedekia. This song gives me joy and lifts me u
It's my birthday. I'm not into big celebrations or at least haven't been to date. But I do like a cake now and then to mark the day. This is the cake shared with a family member. It's my favourite cake because of it's light texture. It's made by a local Chinese bakery. It has real whipped cream, vanilla cake (so light too) and fruit cocktail.
Hi friends, I'm popping in to let you know that things are getting increasingly busy for me as I deal with a couple of major life happenings and on top of that spring work and maintenance. My plan is to stop posting and surfing blogs for a month or two while I deal with things. Posting doesn't take that long but I get very distracted because once I'm into blogger I begin reading and often commenting on posts. It's fun, but time consuming. Hopefully by staying off line for awhile I will be able to do everything that needs to be done. Everything is good. I just need to focus right now. In the meantime, I'm sending you all best wishes for a wonderful season wherever you are in the world. Where I live it is springtime but still a bit chilly. I've been hoping for warmer weather and sunshine to better show the cherry blossoms. However it has been raining a lot and is still a bit chilly. Keep well and stay safe.
