Photos

Hello friends, I just realized I am now over the basic storage limit of 20G so I will be considering what to do about my posts before I continue with more posts here. I may move my blog to another service or I may continue here with more photos posted from my computer rather than uploaded to picasa web albums. I ask for your indulgence as I contemplate what to do since it will likely mean many of my photos disappear from posts.

Stay tuned.

Oh, goodness, I can't imagine what to do when that happens to me. I have SO many photos.
I hope it's a long time before I have to worry about it, because I'm already fretting.

To be honest Kay I'm a little perplexed. I had purchased additional storage already some time ago. It cost me $5 /yr and all along it told me I had lots of space left. Now it looks like they want to charge me $80 /yr. and there is no way I am going to pay that. So I need to figure out some other way.

Hi Penny, mine just ran out as well..but it's pretty reasonable considering you get all the bells and whistles (lol).I did notice a couple people who switched an the photos don't seem to enlarge very big..not sure if that was due to the new blogger upgrade? I have thought of word press and registered once. I know of a few people who said they're happy with it but not sure? Five bucks is cheap though. My 2 cents..wishing you a good week-

KP, you are right. $5. is a bargain and I don't mind paying it. That is what I signed up for but now all of a sudden they say I owe $80 because I have exceeded the storage limit. I don't understand how this could be the case when as recently as last month I was far from exceeding the limit. I've deleted a few albums. That will help for a short while but I still have to figure out what to do in the longer term. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Oh dear. I didn't know that happened. I'll be hanging on your decision as this is bound to happen to me one day.

Hi Penny, I also upload to Picasa but I use an image re-sizer which makes my pics a lot smaller - I've uploaded hundreds of images and have only used about 50% of my space ...

... if you like I can send the re-sizer to you to try out ...

I don't know which version of Windows you're using Penny but if you google 'image resizer powertoy' you will get a few options ... it's a small file to download and works great ... if you need any assistance let me know ...

I looked at my picasa yesterday and after 2 years it says I am only using up 3.4% of my allowed space!!! I don't leave my photos full size but I do leave them quite big!! Diane

Oh how strange Penny! I haven't heard of this happening before! I am so sorry I haven't been by lately but I intend to take some time now and read over your last posts. I will definitely stay tuned...I hope a good solution presents itself! Your photos are so beautiful, they are a true pleasure to look at.

Hi, Penny, I never have used Picasa. I always upload photos from my computer. No problems! Bless you as you ponder what is your best option, my friend!

Hello, Joyful
I’m sorry to hear your trouble. I hope it will be resolved soon. I also, like One Stoned Crow, have made photos smaller. But I have not thought about the space allowed me to use. The reason why I have been resizing photos is because it takes a lot of time to download bigger ones. Sometimes Blogger has malfunctions which frustrate me very much.
Have a wonderful week!
Best wishes,
keiko
