Day & Night

These photos were taken earlier this week on a beautiful sunny day after the snow melted.
The evening photos were taken last week between snowstorms.

These lion photos are from my archives.  I just love the face on the male lion. Most of the photos of lions I have are from the wild in Kenya but these ones were taken at an animal zoo.

Thank you for stopping by.

It’s interesting that there is still a Worl Poetry Day. Hardly anyone I know reads poetry any more. And that is a shame.

You live in such a beautiful area, Penny. Love being able to see the mountains in the background. I live in the mountains as well. I have a feeling that some of the photos are from when you were out and about when your cousin visited. Just lovely!

Hello!:) Nice pictures of your town with the mountains in the background. Love the signs of Spring in the shops, and the different window displays. Poetry Day caught My eye. I have great respect for lions.

Your snow disappears in a hurry. Great color in your sky shots.

Love seeing your town and the shops. You are one up on us, we do not have a Starbucks anywhere that I know of close by. The snowy mountains are beautiful. Hope that you have a wonderful weekend. Take care Diane

I recognized the Y's Books signage on the street scene you captured. I have never been there but will get my friend to take me the next time I am in Vancouver. It is lovely to see familiar sites and street scenes. Great shots! It is really nice to see the sunshine again.

Hi Dianna, yes, my cousin and I did travel out and about to many of these places. We had a wonderful visit though very brief. She wants to come again and stay longer. I totally forgot to mention it because I was so late with posting for this week's memes. You have a great memory :-)

Hi Stephanie, I'm glad you recognize the place. I recommend you visit there. It is such a lovely though small shop and the owner is great too. Thank you for stopping by!

I watched a nature documentary recently where a pride of lions brought down a buffalo and started to eat it alive. Pretty gruesome stuff!

Isn't it great to see blue skies? We haven't had a cloud all day and the temps topped out at 42 degrees! I am not ready for winter to be over, but I do love to see the sun and some blue sky! Thanks for sharing your town with us!

You make me want to want down these streets and buy stuff. Not the lions though.

What a fun walk through your area! Great skies and that is a FABULOUS price on tulips. I would have bought five bunches. Here they range between 5.99 and 7.99 or even 9.99. I'm sure there's a dif with the exchange rate but still, a terrific price. In fact, if I'm doing this right, if I bought them with the US exchange rate it would probably be about 20-25 percent less than even that, which makes the price even better!

Oh, and fabulous lion!

The lion photos are simply breathtaking Joy --- but I loved seeing your town on the bright and beautiful day ... and beautiful night photos too. I wish we would ever see tulips and daffodils and such spring flowers here, but they don't grow here and I don't even see them in the stores. I miss them.
