One Beautiful Day in May ~ Skywatch Friday, May 28, 2026

Hello friends and fellow bloggers,

I hope you've had a good week so far. Mine has been so very busy. A lot of personal business matters I've been tending to for myself and other members of my family have been in the works for awhile and are finally coming to a nice conclusion. It sure has taken time but each step has shown progress so that's the best one can hope for.

Today I was busy in meetings all morning and in phone meetings. I ended the day by getting my ears pierced. This was necessitated by one of my ear lobes having been ripped. I didn't even notice for days afterward.  I've been wanting to get the ear piercing re-done for quite some time but it seems that other things always cropped up and took priority. It's a seemingly small thing but I'm very happy now that it's done.  It should heal up in about 2 months or so.

The weather today was spectacular, bordering on a little hot but I was quite comfortable.  Earlier in the week it rained a bit and was overcast. On Tuesday night I actually found it quite cold in the evening.  My DH and I were sniffling the next day but I think we are over it as it warmed up considerably.

Rather than go on in detail about what has been keeping me busy I'll close with some books I'm reading right now. I didn't read much from late April until near the end of May but I'm back at it now.

I'm currently reading The Hotel Nantucket and enjoying it.

A coming of age story set in Sweden

A well written memoir about the actor's sad upbringing and current health challenges

Thank you stopping by my Skywatch Friday post.

Beautiful photos! Your weather sounds much like ours lately, shifting from cool and rainy to warm and sunny in just a few days. The books you've chosen look interesting, especially The Hotel Nantucket.

Dear Joyful,it’s nice to know that your family works are completed finally and you are able to enjoy your favourite books
I enjoyed these beautiful shots
Weather sounds vary in no time and I hope I can say that about our southern part of the country where summers are of eight to nine months long 😞😭😂

Sending heartfelt best wishes and love ♥️🙏

I like reading. Fortunately The Hotel Nantucket is satisfying as I just picked it blindly from the shelves.

I'm always on the hunt for possible future reads too. I hope you find one you like in my stash. Enjoy the weekend.

Its good to have time to read. I read before going to sleep at night.

I enjoy reading and try to encourage others to read if they don't read much.

Hello,
Good selection of books. I read a lot, especially when I am waiting 3-5 hours for my hubby to have his dialysis. Our weather is finally getting nice, some chilly mornings. I hope your ear heals quickly. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.

Thank you for your visit and comment Eileen. I hope your hubby's dialysis appointments are going well. I hear they have some kind of portable units that one can use at home these days too. Having a good book while you wait is a good way to pass the time. Take care.x

Your sky photos are amazing. Looking at your current reading. The Hotel Nantucket is on my TBR list. I love Elin Hilderbrand and have read several books of hers and plan on reading more.
So many books, so little time, and I have gotten really slow lately. I'm on a Tana French frenzy now. I love here work.

Thank you Yogi. I don't think I've read any Tana French books yet so I'll have to check them out one day. Enjoy your weekend.
