Pretty in Pink ~ Macro Flowers

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
Famous line from Shakespeare's, Romeo & Juliet

I've always loved roses of any kind and especially if they are fragrant. These ones are located along a busy road way at the edge of someone's garden.
Even when the rose begins to wither, it's beauty is still there.

Beautiful photos of a lovely colour pink rose, Penny. I always marvel at the roses in Nairobi, in hotel rooms, for sale in Ya-ya florists, they are beautiful bloooms with absolutely NO smell. Produced on the flower farms near Nakuru. In my revamped rose garden, the blooms are just as beautiful with lovely fragrances. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Jo

Eileen, that was what struck me about these roses. The shade of pink seems rather unique and I like it :-) Happy weekend to you too!

Hi Jo, I've seen the miles and miles of greenhouses around Naivasha on the way to Nakuru, esp. around Delamere it seems. Although a rose is always lovely and beautiful. It is only really beautiful if it also has a fragrance. We have wild roses over here and the fragrance is unbelieveable. The rose in my photos is not a wild rose but it's fragrance was so nice.

Roses are my favorite flowers. Sadly, due to my ankle injuries, I haven't been able to take care of them as I should. They are looking pitiful. These pink ones are gorgeous!
