| There seems to be an over abundance of wasps in the area this year. I'm not sure why. They even came into a restaurant when a friend treated me to dinner last week. The owner had to scurry around trying to kill them and shoo some out the door. |

My hydrangeas go through all sorts of shades. They start out almost white then go blue and some a bit pink but then they all end up a dark mauve as they start drying out. Lovely photos. Diane

Hi Penny, such beautiful flowers! I planted a border of them before and still have them here and there. Amaing because the slugs are such a pain! We've been getting wasps as well though that looks like a fruit fly? I'm on my mobile and can't jump back to the page right now. Wishing you a peaceful weekend-
Hi Regina, I'm glad you like the flowers. I really don't like slugs but I imagine they must be good for something. Just not sure what, lol. That is actually a wasp, not a fruit fly on the leaf above. Hydrangea is a beautiful flowers - especially the blue ones!
I like hydrangeas. Mother in law had a most beautiful one that stood seven feet tall and filled out ever year with beautiful flowers. You captured the pictures very nicely - of the wasp and the flower. Its strange how they seem to be so extra abundant some years. I have no idea why.
I love blue hydrangeas and these are gorgeous. Ours are all pink.
If you have so many wasps, let me remind you that the best treatment for wasp sting is mud. Just put some mud on it and pain goes away instantly. In a few minutes you will not even see the sting mark. I've learned this cure from my grandmother and tried it out many times.

Eyeball Flower
All of my hydrangeas start out white and become tinged with the main color. I have one plant that I'm never quite sure what color will finally be there when it's in full bloom! Nice captures.
