August is usually a good time to travel to this part of the country. The days are still relatively warm and sunny. By mid-August you still have sun but you can begin to feel the slight chill in the air as the weather transitions to Fall/Autumn.

ReplyDeleteGlorious drive, did you stop to take the pics, or snap them through the windshield? The cloud formations, and the landscapes too, are so picuresque!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, I just took the photos through the windshield. There really isn't room to stop on this highway, esp. on the hilltop. You run the risk of being hurt by an on-coming vehicle. I'm glad you like the landscape.
