Sky Over the North Country 2

I LOVE this series of sky photos which were all taken on an August evening between the northern BC towns of Chetwynd and Dawson Creek, British Columbia (far western province in Canada).

August is usually a good time to travel to this part of the country.   The days are still relatively warm and sunny. By mid-August you still have sun but you can begin to feel the slight chill in the air as the weather transitions to Fall/Autumn.

I'm as much struck by the clouds as by the empty roads - no traffic! That's it, I'm moving there.

Great photos, Penny! You must surely appreciate the handiwork of God here in these pictures.

LOL, that's great Caroline. You'll have all kinds of space to yourself and I'll have someone to visit ;-)

Glorious drive, did you stop to take the pics, or snap them through the windshield? The cloud formations, and the landscapes too, are so picuresque!

Hi Jan, I just took the photos through the windshield. There really isn't room to stop on this highway, esp. on the hilltop. You run the risk of being hurt by an on-coming vehicle. I'm glad you like the landscape.
