Blue Monday, April 11, 2011

How would you like to take a spin in this little blue number? * wink.

On another topic altogether, I managed to get rid of the clutter below. Someone from the local Freecycle kindly came and took it off my hands. I feel so much better that someone else will get some use out of it. I never like to throw things away and would have to take it to the charity shop if I couldn't give it to someone. Next I'll be on to shredding all my old paper records.  This can be done a little at a time.

Have a HAPPY BLUE MONDAY!

Aright, I'll send the car over in a big box but you pay the shipping, LOL.

I am looking forward to enjoying more of Spring and Summer.

I've started with the spring cleaning as well but i don't think I'll finish in a week even if you give me the lovely blue car up there! ;)

Like you, I donate to Salvation Army. I also shred old records once a year.

Happy Blue Monday!

Be sure to check out my book giveaway, Joy.

Love the little car! Clearing out 'stuff' can be a huge task. Glad you got a good start on yours.

I would enjoy taking a spin with you in that little blue car. You could show me around town. I never throw away good things. I have several organizations that gladly come and pick it up.

Betty, you really know it! The clearing out task has been going on for over a year. I'm making progress but it seems never ending. I won't think about the negative. I'll focus on how far I've come and be like the little engine that could and say "I think I can" ;-)

That's great Sally! I do give to thrift stores like Salvation Army but would much rather give to someone who needs my things so that they don't have to pay for it. Sometimes though it isn't easy to find someone who needs things that you are trying to give away. I've joined your book giveaway. Thanks for letting me know! Happy BM!

I know what you mean Mirage. The Spring cleaning seems to take a long time. I've been at it now for several weeks off and on but it is nice to get things dusted and washed and feeling fresh. Good luck with your Spring cleaning.

Hi, thanks for visiting. I'd be happy to give you a ride if the owner will lend us the car, LOL. Happy Blue Monday!

Very right. Why throw away things that can be of some help to others.

Joyful said...

Yes indeed, Rajesh. In North America there is an overabundance of material things in most of our homes. I'm scaling back and trying to get rid of things though I will still have much more than many people in underdeveloped countries. Over time though I hope to get rid of more and more as things wear out or they have been used (example, books have been read, music has been played, etc.). I want to live a simple life with less focus on things and more focus on people and the spiritual things. those are the things that have lasting importance. Thank you for stopping by.
