Macro Flowers, September 23, 2011

Purple flower Hostas and white Astilbis. Thanks to all who identified these.

Believe it or not these lovely plants are planted by the roadside on a quiet residential street near my place.  Isn't it amazing that people will plant small spaces in the city just to give the rest of pleasure?
I don't know what the white bush and the purple flowers are but they are lovely. I see there are also numerous varieties of hostas planted here. Maybe the purple flower is even from a hosta. I can't quite tell from my photos.

Beautiful, Penny. I think those purple flowers are from one of the hostas. It's wonderful to see things like that for everyone to enjoy.

I like the flowers people plant anywhere - whether city or country. We ahve a wild-flower that looks something like that purple one. I don't know the difference between a hosta and a hasty plant - but I do like them. ☺

How nice that folks plant along the roadside for all to see. The lavender flower is definitely a hosta. The white? I don't know but it's gorgeous.

There are many people who love gardening so much, they plant where there is space, so all can enjoy. I say, Bravo! Thanks for the capture and for sharing.

The white flowers look to be Astilbe. I have purple ones that bloom in spring.

A lovely gardening spot to enjoy nature's colors. Great photo! :)

Your flowers and greenery are beautiful, regardless of identity. I'm not familiar with any of these.
