I Love

There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.
- George Sand -

It's a great thing to be able to love and to be loved. Whether it is your family, your friends, your special loved one or people you don't even know, like the widows and orphans in a far away place.

I didn't bake these but aren't they pretty? I had to share some with my family.

~ MAGIC OF LOVE ~
by Helen Steiner Rice (Poet)

"Love is like Magic and it always will be,
For Love still remains Life’s Sweet Mystery!
Love works in ways that are wondrous and strange
And there’s Nothing in Life that Love cannot change!
Love can transform the most common place
Into beauty and splendor and sweetness and grace!
Love is unselfish, understanding and kind,
For it sees with its Heart and not with its Mind
Love gives and forgives, there is nothing too much
For Love to heal with its Magic Touch!
Love is the language that every heart speaks,
For Love is the one thing that every heart seeks!

Did you know
that
God is Love.

1 John 4:8

HAVE YOURSELF A WONDERFUL VALENTINE'S DAY.
IF YOU ARE ALONE, SHARE YOUR LOVE WITH A STRANGER BY DOING
A RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS.
IT WILL FILL YOUR HEART WITH LOVE.

IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO IS SPECIAL IN YOUR LIFE
DON'T FORGET TO LET THEM KNOW.

Hello Joyful.
Uhm, the cake looks delicious ..... them I would like to taste.
Delightful / hot posts ...... there are many ways to show love, but many forget it, unfortunately.

Thank you for your comment.
The story of Mads Doss, is a sweet story, it may learn that it is not appearance that counts, but the interior.
In indlæget there where it says Mads Doss is a link to more about him and the song is also on the standard Danish.
Wishing you a good Valentine's Day.
Hugs Hanne Bente ♥

Hello, Joyful
This is the great praise and tribute to love!! I agree with you more than 100%. I remember one movie "Love Story" in 1970, in which these words were mentioned "Love means never having to say you're sorry." This phrase became vogue for a long time in Japan.
By chance I wrote a blog on love or love related story showing the shadow side of love. So I was surprised when I read yours.

Thank you for the information about Mads Doss. It is better to marry someone for what is inside rather than simply looks so I love the story. Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day too. Knus, Joyful

It's so great to know you enthusiastically agree Keiko. I remember well the phrase "Love means never having to say you're sorry". I'm not sure why the saying became so popular because I think that if you love someone, you MUST tell them you are sorry when you have done wrong and they must do the same too. I will be sure to check our your love related story soon :-) Hugs, Joyful

I like the random act of kindness idea - good idea for everyone!

I LOVE the idea too, Andrea! I've received a random act of kindness about two or three times in the last decade and it really made me happy. Last time, I was taking my niece to a movie and a woman in front of us purchased tickets for a couple in front of me and for my niece and I. I could hardly believe it but it was certainly a blessing. I think it is good to do kind things for strangers whenever you can. It makes the world a better, happier place.

Hello, Have a wonderful Valentine Day.. Blessings and love.
Hope I am not sounding negative about my experiences here in Thailand as there are many wonderful people. I had just watched the story of Ruth prior coming here. Understanding how it was there where she lived prior leaving to journey back with Naomi, has what has made me more aware. Yes there are many who proclaim to be Christians and also do the wrong things...I wrote that. I believe I have become so much closer to God due to this experience. Many of the golfers wives go off and some say they pray in each place. For myself there is no-one accept Jesus, and no compromise. I know you understand this. Blessings and love. CM

Hi CM, I just wanted to make sure that you enjoy your travel to Thailand. I know you will be a bright light there and do what you can to shine your light in darkeness. God bless and keep you. Hugs. xx

Those cookies are gorgeous Joyful! The poem is so appropriate. I hope you had a lovely Valentine Day! Yes, Sicily does have a big population, but many young people are leaving and going to the mainland or even abroad because there are no job opportunities in Sicily. My town for example has about 3000 people but most young ones have left.
