| there is more than pollen and dust on this flower. Look at the top of the flower (where the petals meet the centre of the flower) and you will see a stray hair. I presume it blew there with the wind. |

I believe your been is actually a Hover Fly. They are one of my favorite insects to photograph with their pretty gold color.

I love this intimate look at the work of a bee! Alex and I often discuss how important bees are in the world; how ambivalentl we often are of them and their great designer in nature! Also, I love this idea of friday florals....

Oh, yes, lots of pollen, Penny. Great macro shots. I bought a Samsung with a good German lens for macro photos, but I don't have a memory card that fits it. I so seldom get into the city (Medicine Hat) but next week we're going to Calgary, and I know there's a Future Shop close to our destination.
