I continue to work on 5-6 projects for Christmas. Most of which will be unveiled on this blog if I remember to take pictures of the finished products. I'm pleased with the progress I am making so far .

I've been enjoying reading the book, The Perfume Collector whenever I need a break from crafting. Sometimes too there is a good movie on television. I "enjoy" vacuuming and washing the floors for a physical break every few days. When I need to run my errands, I manage to fit in a short walk in the neighbourhood. Friendships and family remain important in my life just as they are for most people and these relationships all need time.
At this time of year the skies are mostly a dull gray. Now and then we see some clear skies and some sunshine.
It is late Fall in my part of the world. Most of the brilliantly covered leaves are gone with the winds and rain.
The weather has gotten cold. It is about 8 or 9 degrees Celsius during the day and about 4 or 5 degrees Celsius at night. On Friday night we had a rain storm to usher in the weekend. Thankfully I missed most of the storm by the time I went out to the pharmacy in the early evening.
About 6 weeks ago I took some flower photos and saved them for days such as this. Here is one of the dahlias.

Yes it is Georgene. Isn't it such a pretty colour? Thank you for your kind words about my quilt-in-progress. It is hard to say if the pattern is difficult. This is the first time I am making it and such a large one too. I don't find it difficult (though I confess it isn't quite exactly as it is supposed to be but I don't mind). I do know that there are some people who find the pattern difficult. I think it helps when someone can show you or you can see it on youtube.
I love these neighbourhood posts as I have always dreamed of visiting Canada, one day!!! Beautiful colours and its much the same here temperature wise. Loving all your work and pleased to hear that you're enjoying that book, it's now on my amazon wishlist, a rather handy log. Hope you have a productive week and take care xoxo

Your photos are absolutely amazing, I do have to say that I know what you mean about projects, I really do love the holiday season, but it's sometimes stressful to get everything done and I have to slow down and remind myself that it's a time of joy and giving and family and fun!

Thank you so much Joy! It does take time to complete the projects but I am managing to take a bit of time for me too. Just today I had lunch with an old friend and spent time with a little person. It was nice. I do miss the summer flowers so this time managed to take a few photos of them before they were all gone. I can view them over the winter. Of course I can also look back through my blog posts over the years where I have many beautiful flowers. I send you my very best wishes for a wonderful week ahead too. Happy crafting and big hugs. Oh thank you so much Tammy for your kind words. I love looking at the beauty around me and sharing it with others so am happy to hear when someone got some enjoyment from the scenes I shoot. I totally agree that we sometimes forget (and need to remind ourselves) of the reason for the season. We must ensure we never lose sight of the joy of the season and spending time with loved ones and friends. The gifts are only secondary and often not even necessary but from time to time, I like to create something or give something to my loved ones. I love seeing the joy on their faces too when they are getting something they have been asking for from me. Hugs. xx

I love having projects on the go. it means you never get bored! That photo of the maple tree (I think) would brighten up anyone's day.
We have the same temperatures here in Belgium, even a little less. I haven't thought about Christmas gifts yet !

Hi Joyful! That red-leafed tree was AMAZING! What a contrast with the stone building.
Believe me, I never get caught up with my housework either. I just washed my kitchen floor, and I almost feel proud of myself. (My shower is yelling for attention though!) Your crochet squares look so pretty all stacked up on your chair. But I know you'll be making something more beautiful as you get them connected. Can't wait to see :)
