Tuesday 4

Welcome to Tuesday 4 in honor of Toni Taddeo...

1. Do you have a favorite movie to recommend?

Hmm, I don't think I have a favourite amongst favourites as far as movies go but there are a few I can remember fondly.  On the romantic front:  Out of Africa with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford & The Way We Were with Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford. On the action/adventure front all the Bourne movies with Matt Damon and the James Bond movies with Daniel Craig. On the murder/mystery/thriller front: The Two Faces of January with Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortenson and The Talented Mr. Ripley with Matt Damon. I also enjoy a lot of the faith based movies of long ago:  The Ten Commandments (Charlton Heston and Yul Brenner) & Ben Hur (Charlton Heston), The Chronicles of Narnia movies, The Gospel of Luke, The Mission (Robert DeNiro & Jeremy Irons, Silence (Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver), The Inn of Sixth Happiness (Ingrid Bergman and  and many of the old B & W dramas, too many to mention.

2. Do you have a schedule for your day or do you wing it?

I have a loose schedule for my day but I wing it a lot depending on my energy levels and outside appointments.

3. What are you  eating/cooking  lately?

Lately I've been cooking a host of foods that have good memories for me:

(Top left to right: Korean Ground Beef, Kenyan Matoke and Beef Stew, Indian Red Lentil Dahl and Naan, beef and veggie stir fry over spaghettini, Kale/Romaine Salad with baked French fries and chicken wings, Moroccan Beef Kebabs with salad and roasted cauliflower, Boiled Pork Hocks and onions with mashed potatoes.

The Korean Beef if a newer dish that I really like and it has become a new staple. I've cooked a lot of beef this past two weeks. Usually I use a lot of chicken.

4.  Do you surf on your computer? Tell us about it, won't you?

Daily I begin the computer time by checking email and blogs. Then I spend time checking out and watching vlogs and news, participate in webinars on interesting or useful topics and then research some items I've come across during the day.

I seldom buy fresh flowers but here is one I bought last week.

Thank you for stopping by. I'm linking up with Tuesday 4.

Hello,
I have not been watching too many movies or TV lately. I am reading a lot and spending less time on the computer. Your food looks yummy, great choices for the week. Love the pretty flowers. Take care, enjoy your day!

The food looks so yummy. And I like the movies suggested. We seem to have similar tastes. I so enjoy the old ones. Can't get into the new ones with all the swearing, special effects and such. It's like "they" can't write any good stories anymore.
Blessings.

I am movie deprived. I've seen very few of these movies. I can't sit still long enough to watch or maybe I'm not interested.

Those are great movies you mentioned. I am not familiar with The Two Faces of January. I hear you about winging it because of appointments! Yum on the food photos.

what a fun and interesting set of questions and answers. I'm very behind on movie watching - but familiar with some of these. I really do like Out of Africa.

Hello, Joyful! New Cinema Paradise is my all-time favorite. I like to do things without plans in between the routine activities. The dishes in the mosaic are all appealing. I like and enjoy cooking, and would like to dine out at a fancy restaurant once a three to four months. I haven't dined out for long.

I call mine a relaxed scheduled :)

I like that. I think I'll adopt the same phrase ;-)

Dear Yoko, thank you for sharing your favourite movie. I've googled it trying to find it. I think I can watch it one day on my local library video streaming service. I don't eat out much anymore so I have to try and make the meals look a bit better so I can eat them.

Thank you Jeanie. I alternate between movies and books. Out of Africa is a very touching movie and I love to see the beautiful countryside.

I love all fresh flowers, wild or cultivated.

Aw, you're sweet Marie.

I hope you can watch the Two Faces of January. My local library has this one in DVD for loan and also I think Amazon or Netflix also has it.

I'm glad you got some movie ideas. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for your visit.

Hi Red, my late mom also couldn't sit long enough to watch a movie. In olden days I would take her to one movie a year at Christmas. We did see one we both really enjoyed and walked out on another one we detested, lol.

Thank you Sparky. Yes it is good to find a movie these days without all the swearing. There are exceptionally few movies that really need to include such cursing.

Hi Eileen, you are really reading a lot. Not sure if you are reading more than usual but I think you might be. I hope you are finding enough good books to enjoy.
