It's been raining a lot this week but the past few days the sun has come out after the rain. It makes for lovely days though they are a bit "coolish". How is the weather wherever you are?
Hi Joyful;) we are entering winter and instead of 49 degrees daily the heat has decreased to 38 degrees. We sleep a lot better now nigh temps are only 27 degrees. (ha!)You have a blessed day, my friend. (((Hugs))) Jo
Jo, I simply cannot imagine having to cope with 49 degrees daily (and you never complain about the heat, lol). I am so glad you are able to sleep better. Here we are entering Fall season and in a few months, winter.
One Stoned Crow, yes that is an aircraft vapour in the photo. Nice catch! I do hope you like spring and the warmer temperatures though I'm not sure how warm that can be for you. Here our temperatures are really quite cool. They are usually several degrees warmer at this time of year. The temperatures went from quite hot at 30 degrees C or so, to 19 and lower.
I love those mountains in the background, the clouds, and the vapor trail! Here's what strikes me about this picture, and the aspect you've taken it from. Compared to God's clouds, that itty bitty vapor trail of man is nothing, a mere puff of wind. Our God is an awesome God!

This is a lovely gospel song sung in Swahili and has special meaning for me. It is special because on my first trip to Kenya a group of orphans encircled me and sang this lovely song. It really touched me. No one translated the song for me at that time. Though I could not speak Swahili I knew it was a worship song unto God. I tried to track the song down for a long time. Every time I would ask a Kenyan friend, no one would know which song I was trying to recollect. I only knew the words "Ni wewe bwana" and decided to search on YouTube when I couldn't get any of my friends to help me find the song. Guess what, I found it! (Update: It has already been some years since I found it and had a Tanzanian friend translate it for me.) The version I'm sharing is the same song but this one on the video is sung to a slightly faster beat. It is sung by well known (now deceased) Tanzanian Gospel singer, Fanuel Sedekia. This song gives me joy and lifts me u
It's my birthday. I'm not into big celebrations or at least haven't been to date. But I do like a cake now and then to mark the day. This is the cake shared with a family member. It's my favourite cake because of it's light texture. It's made by a local Chinese bakery. It has real whipped cream, vanilla cake (so light too) and fruit cocktail.
Hi friends, I'm popping in to let you know that things are getting increasingly busy for me as I deal with a couple of major life happenings and on top of that spring work and maintenance. My plan is to stop posting and surfing blogs for a month or two while I deal with things. Posting doesn't take that long but I get very distracted because once I'm into blogger I begin reading and often commenting on posts. It's fun, but time consuming. Hopefully by staying off line for awhile I will be able to do everything that needs to be done. Everything is good. I just need to focus right now. In the meantime, I'm sending you all best wishes for a wonderful season wherever you are in the world. Where I live it is springtime but still a bit chilly. I've been hoping for warmer weather and sunshine to better show the cherry blossoms. However it has been raining a lot and is still a bit chilly. Keep well and stay safe.
Love the hills around your area.

ReplyDeleteIs that an aircraft's vapor-trail on the right-top of the picture? - spring is in the air here, the days are starting to get warmer ...
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan. The hills can look quite lovely especially in the spring and fall.
ReplyDeleteShell, how nice to see you! Thank you for your kind comment.
