Inauguration 2013

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people —  for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good, and pleases God our Savior… ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Lovely to see so many people at the Obama inauguration in Washington today.

Of course I wasn't there myself. This image is from the AP Photo Credit: Rob Carr-PoolGetty Images

I pray a better time ahead for the American Nation. I pray the same for the people around the world. May God bless, protect and inspire the leaders of the free world and speak to those leaders who do not currently rule under a democracy.

Oh, Joyful, seeing that inauguration, even on television, was SOOOOO inspirational. I sat with tears running down my cheeks. It was fabulous. I pray the President will be protected from all harm as he does his incredibly difficult job. I, for one, am very, ,very hopeful this will be a good year for America. Susan

Hi Susan, I find it was inspirational also. I loved the two song sung by Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson. Just magnificent! The President's speech was also very good. I'm not an American but I am still moved. Hugs. x

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the inauguration for I had to work...boo! My wish for his next term is for the healthcare system in the US to get into better shape. I am still confused about Obamacare, but unfortuately, a few friends of ours have taken a hit in their employment this month by being put to "part time" so the company isn't hit by larger no-medical benefit fines in 2014...UGH.

I really agree that health care is a priority for a lot of people, esp. the sick and the elderly. I hope it all comes together for those that need it. I know many people do not like to pay more taxes for any service. But when it comes to health, I think most people who have been there, done that, agree that affordable health care which is readily available to you when you need it, is very important. Here is a government link to better understand your legislation http://www.healthcare.gov/law/index.html

Yes it was a big day for America. The 1 Timothy verse very apt for the occasion. I only saw the excerpts on our newscasts.
Many Blessings, Jan

Wow, I hadn't seen a picture of the inauguration from this viewpoint before. Makes me realize how intimidating it must be to have to speak before such a large audience.
