Skywatch Friday, September 5, 2025

Welcome to September and welcome to another Skywatch Friday post.

Today I'm sharing a few photos taken on two different days.

Our sky has been a solid mass of gray and the air has been smoky since Wednesday. After a summer free of smoke in these parts, we are now having a week of bad air.

Wildfires have also come closer to home with a fire jumping across the Coquihalla Highway which  remains closed since Wednesday.

Thank you for visiting and stay safe wherever you are.

My favorite are the ones with the pretty sky peeking through gray. Nice!

Beautiful skies. Sorry to hear about the fire. Stay safe!

Hope the fire is contained. Last October we were going to visit Jasper National Park, but unfortunately had to cancel due to the fire that destroyed much of the town.

Smoke and high humidity are not pleasant.

Hi Penny,
...we had smoky skies when we were visiting North Dakota...sometimes it also makes it this far south...we had a few days of nice (80° F) weather but temps are back up in the 90s again now...oh well...fall will still make it here sooner or later...
~Have a lovely day!
